Senior Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Emergency Department team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading and mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the effective running of the department.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have significant experience of working in an Emergency Department environment, with a strong background in paediatric nursing. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients, as well as supervising junior staff and contributing to the development of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert specialist nursing care and support for children, young people, and their relatives/carers.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients from admission to discharge.
- Supervise junior staff in the assessment and delivery of care.
- Contribute to the effective admission, transfer, and discharge of patients, involving the family, carers, significant others, multidisciplinary team, and community teams when appropriate.
- Maintain effective channels of communication with patients, relatives, and all staff involved in providing care.
- Act as a resource for adult-trained nurses when they are involved in the care of children.
- RN Child branch/RSCN
- Diploma/Degree
- Significant experience of working in an Emergency Department environment
- Experience in audits
