About the Role:
The Head of Major Gifts is a senior leadership position that oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive major gifts strategy to grow income from high-value donors, trusts, and foundations.
This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in major gifts fundraising, strategic planning, and team management. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will collaborate with colleagues to enhance the organization's approach to major gifts activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a new major gifts strategy and roadmap to significantly evolve major giving at the sanctuary.
- Manage high-value accounts in collaboration with the Senior Philanthropy Manager, building strategic relationships with donors to deliver six-figure gifts.
- Identify and pursue new income growth opportunities for major gifts.
- Present and pitch cases for support to potential significant funders.
- Represent the charity at events and meetings, managing relationships with stakeholders.
About You:
We are seeking an experienced major gifts fundraiser who can lead at a strategic level, with a track record of securing high-value donations. You should have substantial experience in writing major gifts strategies and roadmaps, developing compelling cases for support, and managing budgets.
The salary range for this role is £62,593 per annum, based on the location and industry standards. Benefits include a competitive pension, life assurance, BUPA private health cover, sickness income protection, and 31 days' holiday (rising to 34 with each full year of service).
