HGV Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled HGV Technician to join our client's team at a leading commercial vehicle service provider based in the UK. This role offers a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
  • Diagnose vehicle faults, conduct tests, and perform permanent repairs.
  • Complete warranty, contract, and retail paperwork accurately.
  • Undertake preventative maintenance to reduce unnecessary customer costs.
  • Assist with additional duties as required by the Workshop Controller.

Requirements:

  • A City & Guilds/SVQ Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in servicing and repairing HGVs.
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical data through manufacturer training.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
