Job Summary:

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team in a Semi-Independent Living Setting in Ilford. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of new techniques and approaches to care provisions, liaising with external agencies, and promoting the welfare and well-being of young people.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Development: Assist in the development of new techniques and approaches to care provisions, ensuring that they are implemented effectively and efficiently.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise and attend multi-agency meetings with external agencies, building strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.
  • Youth Support: Encourage the development of individual interests and attitudes, promoting a positive and supportive environment for young people.
  • Risk Management: Work with high-risk/need clients, ensuring their safety and well-being, and completing and monitoring risk assessments.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure the safeguarding and protection of each young person, establishing and maintaining positive and trusting relationships.
  • Health and Well-being: Provide firm, consistent, and fair boundaries, ensuring that young people receive appropriate medical help in cases of illness and accidents.
  • Education and Employment: Support young people in developing their full educational and vocational attainment, observing and assessing their behavior, and engaging in and supervising care practices.
  • Transition Planning: Assist and support young people through the process of leaving care, planning for and preparation of young people for admission or discharge.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle, and hold a QCF/NVQ3 award in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent.
  • Experience: Ability to show leadership skills, experience of managing budgets, and direct involvement in Ofsted inspections.
