Job Title: Transmission Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Project Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our Transmission and Distribution team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects related to the design, construction, and commissioning of transmission systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver transmission projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design, construction, and commissioning of transmission systems.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Qualified electrical engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in transmission, utilities, renewable power, or similar fields.
  • Strong network and business development acumen.
  • Experience in the technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, whether from a consulting, utilities, or contracting environment.
  • Experience in EHV, HV, and LV electrical engineering from conceptual to detailed design in utilities, renewable power, traction power, water/wastewater, and other industries.
  • Experience in testing, commissioning, FAT witnessing, equipment failure investigation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide robust advice and support design projects through clear communication of project status, issues, and risks.
