About the Role

The GE Aerospace Test Technician Apprenticeship is a 3.5-year rotational scheme that offers a unique opportunity for aspiring professionals to develop their skills and career in aviation. As a Test Technician Apprentice, you will join our Cheltenham-based Supply Chain and work on a rotational scheme that will enable you to understand the end-to-end manufacturing process, from a test perspective, down to a component level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on a rotational scheme that will expose you to various aspects of the manufacturing process
  • Develop your skills in fault finding, manual and automated test equipment, and quality and engineering investigations
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals to achieve common goals
  • Contribute to the production of advanced jet engines, components, and integrated systems that power commercial and military aircraft

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grades C/4 or above
  • Level 3 qualification (BTEC, T-Level or equivalent) in Engineering/Manufacturing, or 3 A-Levels (or equivalent), including Maths or Engineering, at grades C or above
  • Desirable: At least one STEM subject at Level 3 (A-Level, BTEC, or equivalent)
