Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Allowances Specialist to join our team in our Cardiff office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing valuable and proactive advice to clients throughout the construction life cycle, from tax-efficient design initiatives to preparing detailed final claims and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients and their advisors to obtain construction and property documentation.
  • Research the tax history of properties and review legal documentation associated with property acquisitions.
  • Advise clients on complex legal issues relating to their entitlement to capital allowances.
  • Prepare claims and reports with supporting evidence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Mentor and train other team members.
  • Develop strategies and assessment methodologies, particularly for clients in the infrastructure sector.
  • Sales, marketing, and business development.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of tax incentives and preparation of claims on various property types/investments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to manage vast amounts of data.
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting systems.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Client relationship management.
  • Professional qualifications from a relevant discipline, i.e., RICS, ATT, etc.
