Panel Beater / Panel Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and efficient Panel Beater / Panel Technician to join our leading team at Tru Talent. The ideal candidate will have a valid ATA or NVQ equivalent and a strong background in repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturers' specifications.

The successful candidate will work in a state-of-the-art Bodyshop, utilizing modern equipment and techniques to repair and restore vehicles to their original condition. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
  • Following correct repair techniques and producing work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction
  • Removing damaged panels and parts, and repairing or replacing them
  • Using welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools to reshape and fit panels
  • Smoothing out dents and small imperfections using fillers and sanders
  • Aligning body parts for assembly and fit
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry standards and techniques

The successful candidate will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Panel Beater and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA). They will also have previous experience working as a Panel Beater / Panel Technician within a busy body shop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours.
