About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a leading specialist in haematology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with acute porphyria and related conditions.

Job Summary

  • Conduct outpatient clinics for patients with acute porphyria in King's College Hospital and other hospitals across England.
  • Provide telephone/email advice to other hospitals across the UK on the investigation and management of patients admitted with possible or established acute porphyria.
  • Review inpatients at King's College Hospital admitted with acute porphyria or related problems.
  • Teach medical, nursing, and laboratory staff about clinical aspects of porphyria.
  • Offer clinical advice and support to the porphyria and haematology laboratories involved in the diagnosis and management of patients with acute porphyria.
  • Pursue research opportunities, including clinical trials of novel treatments.
