Special Education Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Assistant to join our team at Allen ISD. The successful candidate will provide essential support to teachers and students in general education and special education classrooms.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to teachers and students in general education and special education classrooms.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a smooth and productive learning environment.
- Assist with lesson planning and implementation.
- Support students with special needs, including those with physical or sensory requirements.
Requirements
- Experience working with students with special needs.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, parents, and children.
- Reliable, dependable, and flexible.
- High school diploma and an Associate Degree or two years of college study.
- At least 60 semester hours or a passing score on the parapro test.
