Responsibilities will include working closely with stakeholders to maximise the usage of insights, delivering and maintaining data science solutions, and working with a rich insurance dataset. You'll also have the opportunity to apply sophisticated techniques and technology throughout the data science process.

Aviva's flexible working policy allows employees to balance their time between working in offices and remotely. This role is based in York, Bristol, or Norwich.

To succeed in this role, you should have a solid educational background in a numerate subject (e.g., Maths, Statistics, Applied Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Computer Science with Math/Stats components). Proficiency in data extraction and manipulation, as well as data science modelling using R, Python, SAS, or others, is necessary. The ability to handle large datasets and experience with machine learning techniques would be advantageous.

This position comes with a competitive starting salary between £30,000 and £40,000 (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications), along with other benefits such as bonus opportunities, a pension scheme, and more.
