Sales Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at JJ Food Service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-class customer service to our customers, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process sales and input orders into our system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify sales opportunities to grow existing customer accounts and generate sales through contact with prospective customers.
  • Manage designated accounts and interact with customers to process sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Initiate sales leads to promote product sales and increase annual turnover, in line with sales targets.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service experience, ideally within a telesales environment.
  • Great telephone manners and email writing skills.
  • Ability to engage with customers on the phone in a friendly and professional way.
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with Dynamics AX.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • A good standard of spoken English.
  • Great communication and people skills.
  • A friendly, positive, problem-solving nature.
  • Confidence to handle cash in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a frontline job.
  • Computer literacy (including Microsoft Word and Excel).
