Senior Procurement Systems Specialist

Croydon Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Systems Specialist to lead the development and implementation of strategic procurement systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of procurement services, driving process improvements, and enhancing the overall procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement systems to improve planning and tracking of procurements, support contract management activities, and enhance e-tendering systems.
  • Ensure systems have capacity to capture required procurement and purchasing performance information and report on this.
  • Develop and continually improve dashboards that capture procurement and purchasing performance information from multiple system sources.
  • Develop system controls to aid compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Continually improve the functionality of the e-tendering system to support the strategic procurement process.
Requirements:
  • Detailed knowledge of P2P and strategic procurement systems functionality.
  • Working knowledge of change management and project management within a context of system development and implementation.
  • Public Sector procurement experience.
