About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level Designer to join our team. As a Principal Level Designer, you will be responsible for defining the overall gameplay and level design vision, creating immersive and memorable game levels, and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the overall vision and goals for the level design team
  • Create detailed level designs, including layout, gameplay mechanics, and narrative integration
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, such as art and engineering, to ensure seamless integration of level designs
  • Lead and mentor a team of level designers, providing guidance and feedback on their work
  • Continuously iterate and improve level designs based on playtesting and player feedback
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in level design

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a senior or principal level designer in the game industry
  • Strong passion for and deep understanding of game design principles
  • Exceptional creativity and ability to think outside the box
  • Proficiency in level design tools and software, such as Unreal Engine
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience leading a team of level designers
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience shipping AAA games on PC or console platforms
