Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef Leader to join our team at Wetherby Manor, a luxury care home providing 24-hour residential and dementia care, assisted living, and nursing care. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing every aspect of catering, delivering high-quality food services while ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards are met.

$45,000 - £60,000 per annum salary is available for this role, depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have proven chef and people management experience, with intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certification. They will lead the catering team, manage performance, and maintain compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards.

Key responsibilities include controlling kitchen stock, equipment, and resources within budget; leading the catering team and managing performance; maintaining compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater Craft or similar award
  • Health and safety procedures including control of substances harmful to health (COSHH) and food safety standards
  • Proven chef and people management experience
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements for older people and the impact of food types on medication
  • Safe use of kitchen equipment including knives
