Mobile Welfare Unit Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Welfare Unit Engineer to join our client's team based in Manchester. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare units are in top condition before customer delivery, including checking running lights, tires, and brakes. Your duties will also include servicing running gear, replacing parts as needed, and fault-finding, servicing, and repairing diesel generators.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an engineer/mechanic working on mobile welfare units. You will be based at our client's workshop in Manchester, but may be required to travel to client sites to conduct warranty work and assist with the delivery and setup of welfare units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure welfare units are in top condition before customer delivery
  • Servicing running gear
  • Replacing parts as needed
  • Fault-finding, servicing, and repairing diesel generators
  • Changing water heaters and pumps
  • Eco-upgrading welfare units to include solar panels, inverters, and 12v sockets

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an engineer/mechanic working on mobile welfare units
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of diesel generators
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
