We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Intervention Support to join our team at a Primary school in Leeds. As a KS1 Intervention Support, you will play a vital role in supporting children's learning and development, working closely with the class teacher to identify and address individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning of learning activities, identifying and preparing resources to support lesson plans and learning outcomes.
- Monitor, support, and communicate with class teachers to ensure pupils' achievements.
- Lead individual/small groups of children in teacher-led learning activities, such as guiding reading, phonics, and math interventions.
- Use knowledge of the KS1 curriculum to identify children's misconceptions and employ different techniques to support their development and learning.
- Maintain the upkeep of classroom resources and preparation of materials.
- Support children with their independence and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Requirements:
- Recent and relevant experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
