Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Technologist to join our team. As a Product Technologist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and development within the existing business, as well as assisting with future technical projects.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support: Provide direction and support to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations.
2. Product Development: Coordinate regular testing of products to identify and address faults, providing evaluations to improve their quality.
3. Process Development: Develop and update technological processes for production, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Documentation: Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including records and reports.
5. Quality Control: Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to parameters and specifications.
6. Improvement Plans: Develop improvement plans for products and processes, analysing data to identify areas for enhancement.
7. Research and Development: Conduct research and development work in laboratories and production facilities, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
8. Record Keeping: Utilise company manufacturing systems to maintain accurate written and electronic records.

Requirements:

1. Education: Educated to degree level in Chemistry or Materials Science.
2. Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrable problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
3. Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and ability to work with precision, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.
5. Experience: Experience in implementing ideas to simplify and improve business processes, with a proven track record of success.
6. IT Skills: Good understanding of IT systems and excellent Excel skills, with the ability to utilise software and technology to enhance productivity and efficiency.
