Key Responsibilities:- Site Surveys: Conduct thorough site surveys to ensure client premises are safe and compliant with British Standards and legislation.
- Equipment Servicing: Service portable firefighting equipment in accordance with relevant British Standards and legislation.
- Basic Numeracy: Apply basic numeracy skills, including simple formulas, floor area calculations, and travel distance calculations.
- Equipment Handling: Safely handle portable firefighting equipment, adhering to good practice and guidelines.
- Stock Management: Manage van stock correctly, ensuring relevant paperwork is submitted to replenish stock and achieve first-time fixes.
- Mobile Device Use: Utilize mobile PDA devices correctly and report faults promptly to line managers.
- Compliance Documentation: Complete and share compliance documentation with line managers in real-time, highlighting areas of non-conformity.
- Training and Certifications: Possess relevant training and certifications, including Fire Extinguisher Technician Diploma and L3 in Servicing and Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers.
Requirements: Previous experience as a Fire Extinguisher Technician is desirable but not essential. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
