The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our external Sales Team, covering the North West & North Wales region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management and sales development of their builders or roofing merchant customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement an area business plan targeting merchants in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager, aligning with Timloc's commercial strategy.
- Establish and maintain first-class business relationships with national or independent merchant customers, increasing selling opportunities.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality standards of operation, including call plans, CRM reporting, quotes, and pricing, presented in a timely manner.
- Review sales data to support commercial activity and identify customer and product opportunities within the merchant sector.
- Develop effective relationships with groundworkers, brickwork contractors, roofing contractors, and dry lining contractors.
- Identify and develop relationships with Developers at both local and regional levels.
- Visit developer sites to understand current specifications and opportunities for the Timloc product range.
- Ensure merchant customers are aware of existing and new products contained within the Timloc product range.
- Offer product training to merchant teams, in branch or via Teams.
- Strong formal and informal presentation skills.
- Existing relationships with builders and roofing merchants in the area.
- Effective written and face-to-face communication skills.
- Negotiation and account management skills.
- Effective time management.
- Good business acumen.
- Highly self-motivated with strong resilience.
- Good understanding of the general builder/roofing merchant sector and associated product knowledge.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office and Google Maps.
Up to £45,000
Potential bonus of up to 30% based on company targets.
Fully expensed company vehicle.
