Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced healthcare assistant to join our Minor Injuries Service based in Felixstowe. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to our patients and actively participate in the minor injury, minor surgery, and ageing-well clinics.

Main Duties
  • Carry out baseline observations, including pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate, and record findings accurately.
  • Undertake wound care, dressings, and other clinical tasks as required.
  • Act as a chaperone as required.
  • Ensure specimens are recorded and ready for onward transportation.
  • Provide support during minor operations as required.

Job Responsibilities

As a healthcare assistant in our Minor Injuries Clinic, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality care to patients.
  • Participating in minor injury, minor surgery, and ageing-well clinics.
  • Carrying out baseline observations and recording findings accurately.
  • Undertaking wound care and other clinical tasks as required.

Person Specification

We are looking for a healthcare assistant with:

  • GCSE English and Maths.
  • A Care certificate or equivalent.
  • Evidence of sustained personal and professional development.
