Job Title: Senior Cost Estimator

Job Summary:

Fit Out UK is a leading interior fit out and logistics service provider, serving a diverse range of blue-chip clients across various sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Estimator to join our team based in West London, with flexible, hybrid/remote working options available.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the cost estimation and control function for assigned projects, including developing detailed cost plans and ensuring comprehensive handover to the project team.
  • Attend and participate in scoping visits and survey meetings as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to commercial requirements.
  • Prepare and submit final accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Provide commercial advice, guidance, and support to the Project Manager and delivery teams.
  • Conduct subcontractor cost analysis and place orders under agreed contractual terms.
  • Maximize the contract's cash position and provide cash flow forecasting.
  • Participate in lessons learned and post-contract reviews to provide continual improvement to the business.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor or fit out contractor.
  • Good sound knowledge of commercial and construction contracts and contractual arrangements.
  • Experience of working with schedule of rates and/or frameworks.
  • Preferred background in retail fit-out/construction.
