Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a skilled Learning Support Assistant to provide essential support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background and relevant experience working with students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEN in a classroom setting.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Support students with social, emotional, and mental health issues (SEMH).
  • Help manage challenging behaviour and provide a safe learning environment.
  • Assist in the supervision of students during break times and outings.
  • Provide a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification.
  • Education background.
  • Previous experience working with students with ASD and SEMH.
  • First aid training.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily in a classroom setting.
  • May involve occasional outings or trips with students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support assistants.
  • Full-time hours with standard school term dates.
