Tulip Recruitment is hiring a talented Payroll Trainee - Pensions Team member for an exciting opportunity. As a trainee in our pensions administration team, you will assist in delivering efficient and effective services to clients and pensioners.

This hybrid role involves working 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the pensioner payroll process, preparing and managing payroll changes, and reconciling payroll costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in pensioner payroll process for clients, including preparation and management of payroll process, payroll changes, and reconciliation of payroll costs.
  • Produce and distribute annual P60s, ensure timely payments to pensioners, HMRC, and third-party bodies.
  • Answer queries from pensioners, colleagues, partners, and clients in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain payroll and ancillary systems, advise and assist pensions administration teams on payroll matters.
  • Issue payslips to pensioners within agreed timescales.
Requirements:
  • Educated to A level, degree level, or equivalent with GCSEs at grades 4 to 9 (A* to C) including maths.
  • Previous office experience, knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and related Office packages.
  • Accuracy, excellent attention to detail, strong maths skills, good communication skills, and excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and be a team player.

Salary: circa £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
