About the Role

XOCEAN is an ocean data company that collects data for clients using Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct electrical maintenance on USVs to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Maintain and fault-find electrical and mechanical systems on USVs.
  • Comply with quality, health, safety, and environment standards during daily tasks.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and lead by example.
  • Install and troubleshoot survey sensors on USVs.
  • Mobilize USVs for projects, including road transport and launch/recovery at project locations.
  • Board support vessels to monitor USV movements near shore and in congested harbour areas.
  • Plan and mobilize USVs for projects, including road transport and launch at project locations.
  • Provide local assessment of conditions and circumstances to aid project decisions.
  • Monitor site tooling and consumables levels.
  • Implement, maintain, manage, and update standard operating procedures and processes.
  • Maintain high levels of organization and cleanliness during maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • Qualified Electrician or Electrical Technician.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Keen interest in marine activities.
  • Experience in industrial/maritime/control system wiring.
  • Full clean driver's license.
Desirable Experience
  • BE license.
  • Small craft marine qualifications.
  • Basic Sea survival certificate/STCWs.
  • Marine maintenance experience.
