We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Scientist to support our Innovate UK funded research project. The successful candidate will work on setting up and running several experiments sequentially at the James Hutton Institute's main site in Aberdeen and undertake field trials on a farm in East Scotland.

The role requires a self-reliant individual capable of organizing and undertaking year-round fieldwork and experiments outdoors, maintaining high standards of data quality from field and lab investigations, working up data including statistical analyses, and communicating findings across wider disciplines of catchment sciences, industry partners, and stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience and training in catchment measures for landscape mitigation on farms. As part of a wider support team, you will be responsible for preparing samples for analysis, designing and adapting equipment when developing experiments and real on-farm field trials, and occasionally traveling with the team to see other trials and share knowledge across project activity centres.

You will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with supervisors, fellow academics, and other support staff to achieve project goals. Your contributions will be valued and recognized, and you will have opportunities for professional development and growth.
