We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at Demob Job Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse staff to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritization and Workload Management: Prioritize, allocate, and monitor the workload to ensure materials are picked and processed efficiently and in full, meeting customer delivery requirements.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload lorries in a safe and legal manner, adhering to company procedures.
  • Delivery Route Planning: Plan the next day's delivery routes to optimize efficiency and meet customer needs.
  • Inventory Management: Operate clear systems and procedures for loading, offloading, labelling, picking, and collections, and regularly monitor these to ensure all staff maintain required standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in the warehouse, regarding effective use of warehouse space, racking, machinery, and equipment.
  • Stock Accuracy and Integrity: Assist in regular stock location and quantity checks to maintain stock accuracy and integrity.
  • Health and Safety: Carry out regular audits in line with Health and Safety Policies and procedures, and ensure all machinery and guards are in safe working order.
  • Team Leadership: Assist and support the Warehouse Manager, and assume responsibility in their absence.
  • Training and Development: Provide on-the-job and planned training to ensure warehouse personnel are fully competent and carry out their role efficiently and safely.
Requirements:
  • Warehouse or Logistics Background: The successful candidate must have a strong warehouse or logistical background.
  • Team Leadership Experience: Experience of leading a team of 3-4 staff at a team leader or supervisory level.
  • Forklift Licence: Forklift licence essential.
  • Prioritization and Organization: Ability to prioritize workload and maintain accurate records.
  • Computerized Systems: Knowledge of using computerized in-house stock systems.
Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: £27,000 annual salary.
  • Profit Share Bonus Scheme: Eligible for profit share bonus scheme.
  • Flexible Working Hours: Monday to Friday 13:00pm - 22:00pm (Initial Training Period will be 11:00am - 20:00pm).
  • Holiday Entitlement: 25 days paid holiday, plus 8 statutory.
  • Pension Scheme: Company pension scheme.
