We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Reader Volunteer. As a volunteer reader, you will provide companionship to someone we support at our service in Leatherhead by spending time with them, visiting them, and reading to them. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to have a direct impact on the lives of others while developing new skills through our training programme.

Job Description Summary

This is a part-time volunteer position that requires flexibility in your schedule. You will need to be punctual and reliable, with good communication skills and a kind, empathetic, and patient approach. The successful candidate will also be required to undergo DBS checks and satisfactory references before commencing the role.

Estimated salary: £15.00-20.00 per hour (dependent on experience).
