As an Application/Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with account managers and clients to understand project requirements, reviewing client specifications and estimating project costs, and liaising with suppliers for project-specific information and pricing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with account managers and clients to understand project requirements.
  • Review client specifications and estimate project costs.
  • Liaise with suppliers for project-specific information and pricing.
  • Produce cost-effective and compliant quotations, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Support account managers with site visits and meetings.
  • Attend project handovers and regular sales and estimating meetings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Financial acumen in project costing and margin management.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience in estimating, project management, or commercial environments in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Strong attention to detail and a balanced technical and commercial outlook.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Desirable:
  • Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of generator installations and related equipment.
  • Familiarity with building services plant and BMS protocols.
  • CSCS card or equivalent.
