Production Director

We are seeking an experienced Production Director to lead our manufacturing operations in Greater Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our production facility, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting customer demands.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale production workforces (40+) within a machining/fabrication environment. They will also possess excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills to drive results in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure smooth production operations
- Maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency through optimal machine utilization and workforce deployment
- Analyze customer requirements and develop plans to meet their needs while optimizing production workflows
- Authorize overtime, additional staffing, and work patterns as required
- Collaborate with production managers to achieve business objectives
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in managing large-scale production teams in a machining or fabrication setting
- Strong understanding of production planning and control principles
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Possession of NEBOSH and safety qualifications advantageous
