Job Title and Responsibilities:

The Lunchtime Supervisor and Play Leader is responsible for the direct supervision, safety, and welfare of pupils on school premises during the mid-day break period. This role involves leading play activities at lunchtimes, supporting Little Explorers in nursery and pre-school, and ensuring the proper use of knives, forks, and spoons.

Main Duties:

  1. Leading play activities at lunchtimes and supporting Little Explorers in nursery and pre-school.
  2. Supervising pupils during meal times and encouraging good eating habits.
  3. Assisting with the safe stacking of tables and chairs and ensuring the hall floor is clean and hygienic.
  4. Providing basic first aid and responding to any incidents or issues that may arise.

Working Relationships:

The Lunchtime Supervisor and Play Leader will work closely with the Headteacher, Business Manager, Catering Staff, and Teachers to ensure the effective operation of the School Catering Service.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to relate well to children and staff, be responsible and assertive, and respond calmly and quickly to developing situations.
