About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team at Powys County Council. As a key member of our Flying Start team, you will play a vital role in supporting the leader in planning, reviewing, and delivering high-quality play-based experiences for our young learners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and clearing activities and experiences to ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Contributing to planning, observation, and evaluation to inform future planning and development.
- Supporting a positive and consistent behaviour management approach to promote social and emotional development.
- Undertaking routine tasks as directed by the Setting Leader to ensure the smooth operation of the setting.

- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
