Job Summary:

Abbatt Property Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Manager to oversee the smooth running of a Residential development in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the development is managed efficiently, effectively, and in line with our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular site inspections to ensure the development is maintained to a high standard, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Lead a team of employees to provide an exceptional customer service experience, achieving high standards of performance and creating a welcoming environment for residents.
  • Deliver effective service levels, acting as a representative for customers, clients, and developers, ensuring all aspects of the development are properly maintained and presented.
  • Identify and deliver ongoing training needs to support the team, utilizing internal and external methods, and conduct regular reviews with direct reports to ensure KPIs and SLAs are met.
  • Monitor and manage performance, setting guidelines, managing holiday and sickness absences, and organizing shift cover, undertaking or organizing emergency cover as required.
  • Effectively control costs and review expenditure, assisting with setting service charges and presenting financial summary reports.
  • Hold proactive customer and contractor meetings, ensuring issues are promptly addressed and resolved within agreed timeframes.
  • Investigate and respond to complaints, providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support the monitoring and supervision of contractors, carrying out works on and around the development, raising works orders, and ensuring all orders are delivered within designated timeframes.
  • Ensure all irregular incidents are investigated and reported to the development manager, providing a response to emergency queries.

Requirements:

  • Previous residential experience in a similar role.
  • Awareness and knowledge of fire systems, health and safety, and emergency lighting.
  • Significant experience providing exceptional customer service.
  • Experience in managing contractors and building works within a busy development.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
