Empowering Learning is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our team at our SEMH school in Croydon. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with complex needs, autism, and learning difficulties. You will work closely with our experienced team to deliver curriculum and behaviour management strategies that meet individual needs and promote positive educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with groups or 1:1 support within the classroom to promote academic and social development
  • Support pupils with complex needs, autism, and learning difficulties, including those with severe behaviour difficulties
  • Supervise pupils' behaviour and implement behaviour management strategies
  • Encourage, engage, and support pupils with their learning and development

About the School:

Our school accommodates students from the age of 10 to 16 and provides a supportive and inclusive environment. We have a residential accommodation for students on site, which includes a home surrounded by fields and nature. Our team is trained in Team Teach and is committed to delivering high-quality education and care.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children with SEN, autism, ADHD, or SEMH
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Excellent knowledge of the specialist curriculum area and how it may be effectively taught
