Key Legal Expert for Home Care Business

At Unilever, we are looking for a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to support our Home Care Business Unit in the UK and Ireland. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in legal matters related to marketing, sales, and product development.
About the RoleThis position involves providing strategic advice to the business on various aspects of commercial and marketing law. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with laws and regulations while driving business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing legal guidance on product innovation development, marketing, and sales strategies
- Representing the legal function as an active member of the UKI Home Care leadership team
- Collaborating with the Home Care Europe Legal Team on pan-European topics and regulatory updates
- Evaluating legal options and risks, developing strategies, and advising business partners accordingly
- Managing product claim litigation and defending/enforcing Unilever product claims against third parties
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial and marketing law, with relevant experience working as a Solicitor (qualified in the UK, Ireland, or other common-law jurisdictions). You will be able to analyze complex problems, propose creative solutions, and effectively communicate legal risks to the business.
Requirements- A minimum of [£80,000 - £100,000] annual salary, dependent on experience
- Relevant years of experience working as a Solicitor, preferably in the FMCG industry or retail sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
