About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Trainee to join our team at The Institute of Art and Ideas. As a Research Trainee, you will play a key part in the growth of our organization by contributing to the development of our science debates and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Devising and creating science debates for our programme, using your knowledge of current scientific theories to identify key trends and exciting debate topics.
  • Working alongside our current research team to bring together leading speakers and theorists in their field, engaging in and changing the public conversation on groundbreaking ideas in science.
  • Producing events, hosting speakers, writing briefs, and influencing the promotion and publicity of our output.
  • Collaborating with our team to identify and examine the deeper philosophical ideas and broader implications of cutting-edge contemporary science.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Physics/Philosophy of Physics/Natural Sciences and/or Philosophy.
  • Exceptional academic results.
  • An interest in contemporary science and its impact on the world.
