About the Company:
A leading plant hire company has an internal opportunity for a Workshop Supervisor. They are a well-established business with 7 depots across the UK and plans for further growth. The company has a successful training matrix and solid career development plans, providing a supportive environment for growth and professional development.
The Successful Workshop Supervisor Will Be Responsible For:
- Leading a team of 4 engineers, ensuring they adhere to and follow procedures in a plant hire workshop.
- Providing guidance and support to engineers on generator work, as well as training a new apprentice.
- Assisting engineers on generator callouts as needed.
- Planning, maintaining, and managing the workshop to meet business needs and customer requirements for products and equipment.
The Successful Workshop Supervisor Will Have:
- Prior experience in an engineering workshop and/or site environment, including a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in electrical or mechanical.
- A full UK driving license.
- Forklift B1/B2 License.
- Previous experience training apprentices.
Package and Benefits:
- £35,000 - £45,000 basic salary.
- Overtime of Time and a Half between 16:30 - 22:00.
- 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday.
- 20 days holiday + bank holiday with the ability to earn more after years of service.
- Company van + fuel card.
- Call out 1 in 3 weeks with a flat rate of £150 + hourly pay.
