The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, delivering set lessons and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
- Manage student behaviour in line with school policies, creating a positive and safe learning environment.
- Provide support to teachers and other school staff, assisting with planning and preparation where required.
- Work flexibly across a range of subjects, gaining insight into different areas of the curriculum.
- Foster strong relationships with students, motivating and encouraging them to achieve their best.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or youth-focused setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to making a difference.
- A degree is desirable, but not essential – we welcome applications from candidates with varied backgrounds and experience levels.
- An enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel).
