Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Systems Engineer to join our team at GTS International Ltd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in signalling and telecommunications systems, with experience in Omnivista and/or Solarwinds systems.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in analysing and reporting on asset performance and condition, and will have a good understanding of modern telecommunications technology. Experience in signalling or broader communications technologies, such as CCTV, is also desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for the delivery of internal projects, and will work closely with the asset management team to ensure the successful delivery of our telecommunications and signalling systems.

The role will involve collaborating with stakeholders at Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) to ensure all contractual obligations are met to a high standard.

We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a number of exciting projects, and will be responsible for driving improvement and ensuring the successful delivery of our telecommunications and signalling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the asset management team to analyse and report on asset performance and condition.
  • Provide technical support for the delivery of internal projects.
  • Assist in complex root cause investigations.
  • Offer technical support to frontline maintainers.
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders at Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Omnivista and/or Solarwinds systems.
  • Good understanding of modern telecommunications technology.
  • Experience in signalling or broader communications technologies (CCTV, networking).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and firewall management (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
