About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the electrical package on a significant Data Centre project in Cambridge. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to manage a critical aspect of a cutting-edge project, ensuring that all electrical systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to the highest standards.

  • Electrical Package Management: Lead and manage the full electrical package, covering both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems, ensuring all work is completed to specification, on time, and within budget.
  • Infrastructure Development: Oversee the development and implementation of electrical infrastructure, ensuring it meets the demands of a high-performance data centre environment.
  • Health & Safety Adherence: Champion health and safety standards on site, ensuring all electrical works comply with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with other project teams, including mechanical, structural, and civil engineering, to ensure seamless integration of all systems. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Project Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the senior management team, outlining project progress, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical project management, ideally within the data centre sector or industrial construction with transferable skills.
  • Proven expertise in managing both HV and LV systems, with a deep understanding of the challenges and requirements of large-scale electrical installations.
  • A degree in Project Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is essential.
  • A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry, particularly in relation to electrical systems.
