Job Title: Hybrid Litigation Solicitor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Hybrid Litigation Solicitor to join our team at Jet2 and Jet2holidays. As a Hybrid Litigation Solicitor, you will be responsible for overseeing and addressing injury and illness claims related to Jet2holidays and aviation claims. You will also handle more general litigation within the business and provide supervision and support to juniors within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reading, assessing, and making decisions on pre-litigation and post-lit claims across a wide range of business areas.
  • Working closely with the company's brokers, insurers, and their loss adjusters in respect of claims management.
  • Delivering training within the Legal Department and across the business on relevant issues and claims-handling processes.
  • Providing dedicated support to the General Manager – Litigation and Claims Management and the wider litigation team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Lawyer with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience dealing with litigation and claims.
  • Working knowledge of Package Travel Regulations.
  • Full working knowledge of claims handling processes and Civil Procedure Rules.
