Bridgwater & Taunton College is seeking a highly skilled and empathetic SEND Teaching and Support Professional to join our Foundation Learning team. This part-time role involves working closely with learners who have Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) to identify and address their unique challenges.

About the Position

The successful candidate will have a strong background in education and experience of working with learners with SEND. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, developing individualised teaching approaches, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure learners receive the best possible support.

A competitive salary of £25-£35 per hour, depending on experience, is offered for this role, which involves approximately 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To assess and understand the needs of learners with SEND, developing targeted interventions to support their progress.
  • To work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each learner's needs.
  • To contribute to the development of inclusive practices within the college.
Requirements:
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in education or a related field.
  • Experience of working with learners with SEND, preferably in a college or school setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
