About the Job

This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to join our post-operative patient care team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in the immediate post-operative period, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing one-to-one patient care with compromised airways, managing pain, nausea, vomiting, and psychological support.
  • Caring for High Dependency patients when competent.
  • Collaborating with professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Developing effective communication with the multidisciplinary team, relatives, and other staff members.
  • Performing routine daily activities and escalating to senior staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) qualification.
  • Post-registration theatre/PACU experience is desirable.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
