Oncology Nurse Opportunity

Nuffield Health Derby Hospital is a modern, purpose-built hospital with 38 en-suite beds, three operating theatres, and together with a comprehensive range of outpatient services.

Our Radiology department is a small but busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT. We're about 3 miles from the city centre, within easy reach of all major roads and bus routes.

The salary for this role will be very competitive, depending on skills and experience. The successful candidate can expect to earn around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse to join our close-knit team in the Bamford Suite at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital. As an Oncology Nurse, you will drive the standard in patient care and work directly with some of the best clinical talent around.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker
  • Join a consultant-led oncology service
  • Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient's needs
  • Work collaboratively with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care
  • Administer SACT, undertake venepuncture, cannulation and manage Central Vascular Access Devices
