Job Title: Maintenance Shift Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Shift Technician to join our team at Skanska UK Plc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of our site electrical, mechanical, and building services plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including PPM and statutory compliance, to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.
  • Investigate and repair faults on electrical, mechanical, and building services systems, including low-voltage electrical systems, fire and security systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Liaise with other services as necessary to ensure the efficient delivery of work activities and maintain high standards of workmanship and productivity.
  • Use test and monitoring equipment to diagnose and repair faults, and interrogate and adjust systems to maintain correct operation of plant and equipment.
  • Carry out electrical, mechanical, and system checks to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in electrical or building services, or a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Working knowledge of other building services and trades.
  • Excellent team working and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to satisfy client security clearance minimum requirements (SC).
  • Experience of engineering services maintenance, complex electrical installations, and large complex HVAC, BMS, and refrigeration plant and equipment.
