Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuary to join our BPA Proposition and Projects team at CLFIS Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of our BPA proposition strategy and arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execution of the proposition strategy to enable the company to competitively price its BPA business.
  • Responsible for implementing proposition changes in BPA and communicating these assumptions to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders, including legal consultants and third-party providers.
  • Be a subject matter expert for BPA proposition and work with internal departments to ensure arrangements are fully understood and implemented across the business.
  • Contribute to the BPA Proposition & Projects team, including regular updates at team meetings and training to colleagues as required.
  • Ensure governance and processes are in place in line with CLFIS Limited policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit pensions.
  • Familiarity with BPA market, products, and reinsurance structures.
  • Understanding of pricing, capital modeling, and profit testing.
  • Ability to build relationships with people at all levels (internal and external).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Understanding and ability to implement/maintain an actuarial control framework.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Actuary (with relevant post-qualification experience).
