Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our growing Tax team in our Borehamwood office. As a Tax Senior, you will play a key role in providing tax advice and guidance to our clients, ensuring their compliance with tax regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and advise on clients' residency and non-domiciliary status, including reference to the remittance basis charge.
  • Prepare tax returns for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Prepare various tax forms, including P11D's, PSA's, and ATED's, and elections for clients where required.
  • Review tax notices and prepare correspondence to clients.
  • Ensure all client work is completed within specific budgets and timeframes, keeping the Tax Manager informed of assignments progress.
  • Effectively communicate queries to clients as required.
  • Keep abreast of developments in taxation.
  • Undertake technical research for clients and tax consultants.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot inaccuracies or duplications.
  • Efficiency and accuracy are key, as well as strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • ATT qualified is highly desirable.
  • Previous professional practice experience in taxation.
  • Experience of four or more tax seasons is advantageous.
  • Solid working knowledge of the SRT, Tax treatment of non-doms, and the remittance basis.
  • Solid understanding of taxation software.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
