Maintenance Technician

This is a challenging role that requires the ability to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and managing risks associated with equipment on site, updating drawings, identifying critical spares, improving performance of machinery, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
This position involves working with new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment, liaising with clients on requests for certain machinery PPMs, and fault finding on all types of machinery.
A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles is essential, as well as experience working with 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters. Additionally, proficiency in PLC diagnostics and repair is required.
The ideal candidate will have a recognized or time-served apprenticeship in a relevant field and possess good multi-skilled abilities. Experience working at height, IPAF certification, and AP qualifications are desirable but not necessary.
In this role, you will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will also be responsible for writing and following risk assessments, providing electrical and mechanical expertise, and supporting others in the department with health and safety matters.
The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
