Job Summary
Hamilton Mayday is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant with an enhanced DBS to join our team in a school environment. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, peel, and prepare ingredients for cooking and food preparation.
- Cook and prepare meals according to recipes and instructions provided by our chefs.
- Ensure the kitchen is fully equipped and in good working condition, reporting any issues to management.
- Stock the kitchen with supplies and organize the stockroom, monitoring sell-by dates and rotating stock.
- Monitor ingredients and report order requests to management.
- Assist with general cleaning duties of the kitchen, as required.
- Work and communicate effectively within the kitchen team and with front-of-house team members.
- Complete due diligence and ensure full compliance with relevant health and safety and food safety regulations (training provided).
