We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Storesman/Warehouse Supervisor at VEA Telecoms Ltd. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and stores, including receiving and storing goods, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Receiving and Storing Goods: Unload deliveries, inspect materials, and accurately document and record incoming goods.
- Inventory Management: Organize and store materials, maintain accurate inventory records, and use inventory management systems to update stock levels.
- Order Fulfilment: Pick and prepare orders for dispatch, ensure materials are properly labelled and packaged, and coordinate with teams to schedule and arrange for the collection/distribution of goods.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, operate yard equipment safely, and report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
- Maintenance and Housekeeping: Regularly inspect yard equipment, perform basic maintenance tasks, and keep the yard clean and free of debris.
- Experience: Previous experience in a yard or storesman role is preferred, with experience with inventory management systems.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, good communication skills, and basic computer skills.
This role requires the ability to lift and move heavy items, prolonged periods of standing and walking, and working in various outdoor weather conditions. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, with possible shifts or overtime depending on business needs.
SalaryThe salary range for this role is £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
